In Tagbilaran City, Philippines where I was born, people from all ages would be visiting homes to sing Christmas carols as soon as the month of December begins.
One of my most unforgettable experiences of hearing these Christmas songs was when a family of 6 came to our house when I was still 7 years old. The parents played the banjo while the kids danced and sang to the Christmas tunes being played. And they wore such bright colors, too, for the performance. It was really great. Now banjo music is still alive and well today. It might even be a good idea to learn to play or listen to your musicians friend banjo. You can even purchase one at a good price online.
December is here and it’s truly nice to celebrate the season with loved ones and to listen again to some Christmas songs. And perhaps with the banjo playing, too.
