The rains have been relentless this side of the world lately. Some places in the Philippines have even been flooded. But hey, with the rains aplenty along with the cold and flu cases among friends and work colleagues, the working life must go on. And so we brave through rain and mud and fulfill our duties for the day.
Rainy days can make one long for a hot cup of coffee or tea much like one yearns for a smile from anyone in one’s first class during freshman year in university. Both that cup of coffee and that smile warms you. And speaking of universities, it’s been close to 16 years when I got hold of that bachelor diploma from one. Ah, I remember the excitement of beginning a new season in life. Dreams were about to be fulfilled then. And many have been realized for some time now.
On this rainy day, I am also well aware that a new season is about to break forth. There is a path ahead that waits to be walked on. This time, that path may not be that clear but I know it is there. Clarity will come just as the sun’s rays will surely come again when the rain stops.
Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.” Isaiah 30:21 (The Bible, New International Version)
