I grew up with Beatles’ music.
I was not the fan, my older brother was but as their songs continue to play in our home stereo then year after year, I began to like their songs as well.
Over the years, I have come to appreciate deeply the artistry and creativity behind the songs of the Fab Four; I noticed how much poetry is in there in the lyrics of their songs. I could see clearly why the group was a phenomenon back then and even now — the Lennon-McCartney composing duo was the bedrock behind their music.
Now, I am a fan of James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke but I have to admit that the one he had with Paul McCartney several weeks ago was one of the best, if not the best one he has had. It was not just Paul singing but what makes it precious is that he talks about his life and his life with the Beatles. The segment even ends with Paul on a live mini-concert! How cool is that 🙂
Ah, Sir Paul, thank you for your music. It speaks not only about your life but in many ways, it has been the soundtrack of our lives as well. And thank you, James Corden, for doing this. Hats off to you!
